Brand Story Video
“We didn't want a corporate video. We wanted something that made people feel what it's like to work here.”

Brand Story Video
Company Culture
Numbers that speak for themselves.
What we were up against.
The client is a 300-person e-commerce intelligence company that had grown rapidly through Series C. As the company scaled, leadership noticed something concerning: the culture that drove their early success was getting diluted. New hires didn't feel the same sense of mission that the founding team had.
The CEO wanted a brand story video — not for customers, but for their team. The goal was internal alignment: a piece that would make every employee, from the newest intern to the most senior VP, feel connected to the same story.
But this wasn't a typical "about us" project. The CEO explicitly said, "No talking heads. No office footage. No stock music. I want something that makes people cry — in a good way."
The challenge was creating an emotional brand film for a B2B SaaS company without any of the traditional corporate video tropes. It needed to feel authentic, human, and deeply personal while still being unmistakably on-brand.
There was also a practical consideration: the video would be shown at their all-hands meeting, embedded in their careers page, and used in recruiter outreach. It needed to work in a crowded conference room, on a laptop screen, and on a phone.
How we tackled it.
We started with a "story mining" workshop. Instead of asking about company milestones and product features, we asked a different set of questions: "What moment made you realize this company was special?" "What's the hardest conversation you've had with a customer?" "If your company were a person, what would they say to a struggling e-commerce brand?"
The answers revealed a consistent theme: the company exists because e-commerce brands are flying blind. They have data everywhere and insights nowhere. Every person on the team — regardless of their role — is driven by the desire to give brands the clarity they need to thrive.
That insight became the emotional core of the video: "We help brands see what others can't."
For the visual approach, we took an unusual direction. Instead of showing the product, we showed the people and the problem. The video is entirely animation — no live footage — but the animation style is warm, textured, and hand-crafted. Think: a graphic novel meets a Pixar short, rendered in the company's brand palette.
We developed a visual metaphor system: brands navigating fog, data scattered like puzzle pieces, and finally — clarity. The fog lifts. The pieces connect. The brand can see. This metaphor runs through the entire video and creates an emotional arc that doesn't require a single word of voiceover.
What we delivered.
The 2:00 brand film is a wordless narrative told entirely through animation, music, and typography:
Opening — The Fog (0–30s):
We meet a fictional e-commerce brand owner — rendered as a simplified, warm illustration. She's surrounded by screens, spreadsheets, and conflicting data. The visual style is intentionally cluttered and overwhelming. Colors are muted. The animation is anxious — quick cuts, shaking elements, overlapping text.
A custom ambient score builds tension. There are no words, but the feeling is universal: "I have too much information and not enough understanding."
Middle — The Turning Point (30–80s):
A single light appears — the brand color. It's subtle at first, almost imperceptible. But as the brand owner interacts with it, the fog begins to lift. Data points that were chaotic start to organize. Competitor pricing that was opaque becomes clear. Market trends that were invisible emerge.
The animation style shifts here — from frantic to fluid. The color palette warms up. The score transitions from ambient tension to hopeful melody. The visual metaphor is clear: the product brings clarity.
Climax — The Team (80–105s):
We pull back to reveal that the "light" isn't just a product — it's a team. Dozens of illustrated figures, each representing a team member, working in concert. Engineers, data scientists, customer success managers — all connected by the same mission.
This section uses a parallax animation technique that creates depth and scale. The team grows from a handful to the full 300-person company, each person adding their unique contribution to the collective clarity.
Close — The Promise (105–120s):
We return to our brand owner. She's no longer in the fog. She's standing on a clear vantage point, looking out at her market with confidence. The final frame is simple: the company logo with the tagline "See what others can't."
The music swells and fades. No voiceover. No call to action. Just the feeling.
Sound Design: The entire score was custom-composed. We used a blend of piano, ambient electronics, and subtle sound design elements (keyboard clicks, notification sounds, data processing whispers) to create an audio landscape that feels both digital and deeply human.
